I have only been introduced to this in the past two years. Twice a year the boarding stabel is visited by a chiropractor. The fiorst time my gelding saw him he was 17 years old. the man took one look and knew that the horse had fliped over backward. thei had happened when he was 8! Horse had his pelvis tipped and the chiro fixed it. Amazing the difference in the horse from then on.
My STB mare popped a vertabrae out in a slip and fall on pavement. She had it put in 3x over the past year but now she seems to be holding it in place on her own.
Two weeks ago she popped her shoulder out. Thank goodness the massage therapist was ther to put it in and she will see the chiro in tow weeks.
The massage therapist comes every 8 weeks. My horse is only massaged once or twice a year, she really enjoys it and I think it does meak her a happier animal. I have seen it make a very big difference for horses that have long standing soreness issues from work stress, rider inblance, poor tack fit etc.
I know this field is growing here in the US. So what about in other places?
